OCEAN CITY, Md. (AP) - The State Highway Administration will begin repairs next month on the U.S. 50 bridge in Ocean City.
The highway administration said Wednesday that it will start permanently repairing mechanical systems on the bridge on March 4. Crews will close a single, eastbound right lane between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., with an occasional 24-hour, continuous single right-lane closure.
Repairs should be completed by the end of March, weather permitting.
The highway administration made temporary repairs after a malfunction last summer on the draw span.
There will be no work on the bridge from March 13 to March 16 because of expected St. Patrick's Day weekend traffic.
