There will be no World Championship Punkin Chunkin this year.
Organizers announced that they have canceled the event that was to take place later this month at the Dover International Speedway.
The dates had been October 24-26.
Instead, it will be held next year on the weekend of November 6-8.
For years Punkin Chunkin had been held at a farm in Sussex County but was set to move to the new venue that was used by the Firefly music festival earlier this year.
John Huber, president of Punkin Chunkin, said that moving an event of this size was just not feasible for this year.
Those who have already bought tickets and camping passes will have their money refunded within two weeks on their credit cards.
