Next Year's Firefly Music Festival Gets Bigger

Firefly Music Festival website

The Firefly Music Festival will expand to four days and five nights next year when it returns to Delaware.

The festival will grow to more than 100 musical acts across seven stages.

That’s up from last year’s 74 bands on six stages.

The Wilmington News Journalreports that the expansion has authorities concerned about the traffic congestion resulting from the festival scheduled for June 19th-to June 22nd.

Last week, officials from the Chicago-based Red Frog Events, Dover Motorsports, the Delaware State police and Dover police as well as the , Delaware Department of Transportation met to map out how to manage the traffic problems.
