New Paramedica Facility Coming to Middletown

Christiana Care, christianacare.org

The New Castle County Council approved a new paramedic station at Christiana Care’s emergency department near Middletown that is scheduled to open next year.

The new $34 million emergency facility for the New Castle County Emergency Medical Services will be at the intersection of Del. 299 and Brick Mill Road.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that county and state money will pay for the $750,000 paramedic station and Christiana Care will lease it to the county for 99 years.

New Castle County Council approved the agreement yesterday.

The facility is just the beginning of plans for a large medical campus at the site.
