BERLIN, Md. (AP) - A Kentucky racing company and a New York casino firm will buy the Ocean Downs casino and racetrack.

Churchill Downs Inc. and Saratoga Casino Holdings LLC announced Tuesday that they formed a joint venture to buy Ocean Downs

Ocean Downs, a 67-year-old facility, takes up 168 acres of land in Berlin on the Eastern Shore. It has 800 video lottery terminals and electronic game tables, and has harness racing. It employs about 235 workers.

The purchase price was not revealed. The purchase is contingent upon approval of the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency and Maryland Racing Commission and other government authorities.
