December 2nd is the new deadline for private venders submitting bids to take over the dining services at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
It had been November 18th.
University spokesman Bill Robinson told the Salisbury Daily Times that it could take several week to decide whether to hire a private company.
There are an estimated 70-full and part-time jobs that will be affected by any move to outsource dining services at the University.
UMES officials say they will require any contractor to let the current personnel to apply for a job.
