WALLOPS ISAND, Va. (AP) - The launch of a Department of Defense rocket from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility has been rescheduled.

The Terrier-Lynx suborbital rocket was scheduled to be launched Saturday. NASA says in a news release that the new launch date is Aug. 23.

NASA didn't say why the launch was postponed.

The space agency says there will be no real-time launch status updates at the request of the Department of Defense. The NASA Visitors Center at Wallops won't be open for viewing the launch. The launch also won't be shown live on the Internet.
