More Video Surfaces in Salisbury Macing by Police
A new video has surfaced that shows beer cans being thrown at police officers before Salisbury authorities used pepper spray during last Saturday’s confrontation during a Shore on the War party.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that the video was given to police by one of the four party-goers who was arrested during the gathering that was part of the La Crosse Championship.
Police Chief Barbara Duncan said the individual has been charged with disorderly conduct and failure to obey a lawful order.
She emphasized that the video clearly shows that a beer can was thrown from the crowd before law enforcement used of pepper spray.
The paper reports that video shows at least four full beer cans were thrown in the direction of the police.
It says that a male voice close to the camera yells “Spray the Mace. Someone just threw a beer can at the cop. Why don’t we spray more Mace.”
It also shows a male subject bent over rubbing his eyes after being exposed to pepper spray.
