Miss UMES Steps Down

youtube

UMES Campus Queen Porsha Harvey has stepped down after being charged with disruptive behavior involving a campus police officer and a separate incident involving a citation for marijuana possession.

Harvey quit telling university officials that recent incidents had devalued her role as a student leader.

Her attorney would not discuss the charges when contacted by the Salisbury Daily Times and said his client would not be discussing the case in the public media.

This is the first time in recent memory that the queen representing the campus had either stepped down or been removed.

In 2012 Harvey was a contestant in the Miss Delaware pageant USA a precursor to the Miss USA contest.
