Millsboro Chicken Processing Plant Opponents Go To Court

Allen Harim website

Millsboro residents opposed to the proposed Allen Harim chicken processing plant went to court yesterday in an Environmental Hearing.

The appeal was filed by Ken Kristl and the Widener Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic, Protecting Our Indian River Citizen’s Group and the Inland Bay Foundation.

The Protecting Our Indian River group argues that the plan by the Department of Natural Resource and Environmental Control to clean up the site is inadequate.

The South Korean-owned Allen Harim would convert the old Vlasic pickle plant into the chicken processing facility.
