Mike Hindi: First Candidate for MD Delegate District 38C

facebook.com

The new formed legislative District 38C in Worcester and Wicomico Counties has its first candidate for next year’s elections.

He is Mike Hindi a lifeguard for the Ocean Pines Association and doorman for the Greene Turtle in North Ocean City.

He says he plans to campaign on a platform of green jobs, recycling programs in Ocean City and increasing penalties for drug dealing while upping the resources for those who are addicted.

On the drug issue the Democrat said that he had seen a rise in heroin use as well as other hard drugs in the Lower Shore communities.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that he has had his own experience with the aftermath of his younger sister’s addiction.

Hindi has not challengers for next year’s primary.

There is no incumbent because the redistricting process put Republican Delegates Mike McDermott and Charles Otto into the same district.
