creative commons Ed Yourdon

Michael Vick was on the Eastern Shore yesterday to promote his summer football camp.

He made an appearance at Washington High School in Princess Anne and Wicomico High School in Salisbury.

The camp will be held at South Dorchester High School in Cambridge.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that his theme for the students yesterday was that of second chances.

Vick was convicted of dog fighting in 2007.

The camp was originally expected to be held at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore due to timing issues.

In addition, Darnell Clash who is hosting the Maryland-Eastern Shore All-Star Football Camp told the Daily Times that Cambridge was a more central location for the region.
