It’s about that time for families to hit the road.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says it expects nearly 744-thousand Marylanders will be on the highways for Memorial Day Weekend.
This will be a 2.1 percent increase for the holiday over last year.
State officials say there will be no dump trucks or cranes working on the roadways this weekend.
The Department of Transportation told the Salisbury Daily Times that this will allow a smoother drive for motorists.
The total number of Marylanders traveling this holiday is expected to be 834-thousand including other forms of transportation such as air travel.
That’s a 2.3 percent increase over last year.
