A number of Lower Shore firms made it into the finals for to dispense medical marijuana.
OC Botanical LLC and Positive Energy LLC in Senate District 38 got the nod for Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties.
Other applicants that got pre-approval were Peninsula Alternative Health LLC and Tilstar LLC in the state Senate District 37 covering Dorchester, Talbot and parts of Caroline and Wicomico Counties.
Meanwhile, Hippocratic Growth LLC and PharmKent LLC got the preliminary okay in Senate District 36 that covers Cecil, Kent and Queen Anne’s Counties as well as a portion of Caroline County.
The Salisbury Daily Times reports that in this first stage these included 109 slots out of 811 applicants in Maryland.
Only two operations can be awarded to each state senate district.
