ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has raised nearly $4 million over the past year for his re-election.

The governor and other Maryland officials have a midnight Wednesday deadline to file campaign fundraising reports. The Maryland Republican filed his report earlier in the day.

Hogan, who used public campaign finance funds to win the 2014 election, had a prior balance of about $2 million. Campaign finance records show he spent about $1.3 million in the last year.

Hogan has a cash balance of about $4.6 million. Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford raised about $565,000 for the same period. The lieutenant governor has a cash balance of about $491,000.
