BALTIMORE (AP) - Maryland will continue to give out free paper state road maps to residents and visitors this year.

A Maryland State Highway Administration representative told The Cumberland Times-News the state map includes the latest changes to Maryland's transportation system, tourist attractions, historical sites and county boundary lines. About 1,100 towns and destinations in the state are highlighted.

The map is also available online, though the organization says the paper maps remain popular.

Safety information is also included in the maps including reminders of new laws.
