Maryland Live Casino Scores Big in June

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland's largest casino hasn't been open a month yet, but it generated more than twice as much as the state's other two casinos combined in June.

The Maryland Lottery released revenue numbers for the three casinos on Tuesday.

Maryland Live, located next to Arundel Mills Mall, generated a total of $28.5 million in June, even though it only opened June 6.

The Hollywood Casino in Perryville pulled in about $8 million, and the Ocean Downs Casino grossed $4.4 million.

June's combined revenue from the three casinos was about $40.8 million.

Maryland Live is much larger than the other two casinos. It has 3,171 video lottery terminals. The casino in Perryville has 1,500, and the casino in Berlin has 800.
