HANOVER, Md. (AP) - Operators of the Maryland Live! Casino in Hanover are marking the completion of their slots parlor.
The Cordish Companies held a party at the venue Wednesday to celebrate the addition of more than 1,000 slot machines. The total of 4,750 machines makes it the nation's third-largest commercial casino.
David Cordish declined to comment on a November ballot question that would allow for the addition of table games at Maryland casinos. The measure also would create a license for a casino in Prince George's County.
Maryland law currently allows five casino sites. Three have opened in Hanover, Berlin and Perryville. Licenses have been awarded for a casino in Baltimore and at the Rocky Gap Lodge and Resort in western Maryland.
