Maryland Gas Prices Drop 7 Cents

WASHINGTON (AP) - Motorists in Maryland are paying 7 cents less at the pump when compared with a week ago.

AAA Mid-Atlantic said Friday in a report that the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Maryland was $1.76, down from $1.83 a week ago.

The price of gas in the state 6 cents above the national average of $1.70.

The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in cities around the state includes $1.72 in Baltimore, $1.77 in Cumberland, $1.91 in Hagerstown and $1.69 in Salisbury.

Motorists in the state are paying 46 cents less per gallon than at this time last year when the average price of a gallon of regular gas was $2.22 per gallon.
