The Maryland Farm Bureau has decided to pass on taking a position on medical marijuana.

This is the second time the organization has decided not to give its support as it met in Ocean City for its 100th annual convention.

While there was some discussion the measure failed to be brought up on the floor.

One Farm Bureau spokesman told the Salisbury Daily Times that there are many farmers who are interested in growing the crop but adds there’s not enough.

The state is processing hundreds of applications to grow process and dispense medical the weed.

A commission will pick 15 growers and 94 dispensaries.
