ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is scheduled to be in South Carolina to campaign for state Sen. Vincent Sheheen, the Democratic candidate for governor there.

O'Malley has a meet and greet in Charleston on Friday afternoon. The two also have a media availability scheduled.

O'Malley campaigned for Sheheen last year, when he was the keynote speaker at a convention for South Carolina Democrats.

The campaign stop will bring O'Malley to an early primary state. The term-limited Maryland Democrat is considering a run for the White House in 2016.
