Man Found Dead in Salisbury House Fire

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) - Authorities say a man was found dead in a house fire in Salisbury.

The State Fire Marshal's Office said in a news release that the fire was reported shortly before 7 a.m. Monday at the single-family dwelling. Firefighters with the Salisbury Fire Department found the man's body upon entering the home.

About 25 firefighters brought the blaze under control in about 45 minutes. Damage was estimated at $30,000.

The victim's was taken to the Medical Examiner's office in Baltimore for an autopsy. The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation.
