LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) - A Maryland man has been charged with trying to bring a handgun through a security checkpoint at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

The Transportation Security Administration says the man was caught with the gun and arrested Sunday night. His name has not been released. The TSA says he lives in Grasonville.

The gun found in the man's carry-on bag was a .380-caliber semiautomatic. It was loaded with 10 rounds, including one in the chamber.

It was the seventh time this year the TSA has found a gun at BWI airport.

Guns are not permitted in carry-on luggage. They can be transported in checked bags if they are unloaded and properly stored and the airline is informed in advance.
