Man Arrested For Illegally Establishing a Barn Residency
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspect on Wednesday, charged with trespassing and burglary, after the suspect allegedly set up his residence inside a private barn.
Officials say they received a burglary complaint from a property owner last night around 6:50 p.m. When a deputy arrived at the property, located on West Line Road in Delmar, Md., he found 20-year-old Ryan Moore of Laurel, De., inside of the owner's barn.
Officials say Moore established a residency inside of the barn, without obtaining permission from the owner. An investigation revealed that Moore was using an opening designed for animals to enter and exit the barn.
The property owner told police that he confronted Moore earlier that day and told him to leave, a request that Moore ignored.
Moore is being detained in the Wicomico County Detention Center.
