Man Arrested in Alleged Carjacking at Firefly Music Festival

Thousands gathered for the annual Firefly Music Festival in Dover.

But one man Zachary Hamilton is now charged with trying to hijack a van with six employees of RMC Events.

WBOC reports that Hamilton allegedly smashed through a fence before coming to halt when the vehicle struck some brush.

Police say that Hamilton punched the officers when they tried to make an arrest and head butted a police vehicle causing damage.  

The television station reports that the police learned later that he alleged struck

An employee of the festival also tried to stop the Hamilton and was injured.

Later it was learned Hamilton allegedly punched the female driver of the car.

Hamilton has been charged with carjacking and assault on a police officer among other counts.
