Major Lane Shifts on Salisbury Bypass Start Today

The Salisbury Bypass will look a little different for a while.

Starting today there will be four change in the traffic pattern.

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that northbound motorists will be redirected to use the southbound lanes just before the Route 50 interchange.

The paper reports that this will continue beyond the Norfolk Southern Railroad overpass after which traffic will return to their normal lanes.

The rerouting will allow work crews to proceed with the northbound bridges over Route 50, Old Ocean City Road and the railroad.

Speed limits will be reduce from 65 mph to 55 mph.
