Hurricane Sandy, noaa.gov

Help could be on the way for local businesses in Crisfield which suffered damage from Hurricane Sandy.

State and federal representatives will be on hand tomorrow at the Crisfield City hall ranging from the Small Business Development Center at Salisbury and the Maryland Department of business and Economic Development to Federal Emergency Management Agency and USDA Rural Development.

In the aftermath of the storm Danny Thompson, executive director of the Somerset County Economic Development Commission said, that a list was compiled of more than 100 Somerset County businesses that suffered damage.

It includes not only retail stores and offices but also watermen from Fairmount, Deal Island and Smith Island who lost their boats docks and crab pots among other things.
