creative commons

The Fearless Girl statue that stands opposite the Charging Bull on Wall Street is getting a lot of attention with a demand to have her removed.

But the artist Kristen Visbal who lives in Lewes said she was excited when she got the phone call for the statue.

She told WBOC that she wanted to make a statement about the inclusion of women on Wall Street.

The artist said that she believes that if more women were included in leadership positions it would lead to better decisions and increased profits.

Meanwhile, the artist for the Charging Bull has complained that its position violates his artistic rights turning the bull into an adversary.

His attorney wants Mayor Bill DeBlasio to put Fearless Girl somewhere else.
