Lawmakers Emphasize STEM Education

BALTIMORE (AP) - Maryland lawmakers are touting the importance of STEM education in Baltimore.

U.S. Senator Ben Cardin and Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake are set to speak at a forum on Monday to highlight the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz is also set to speak at the Baltimore forum, which is billed as a two-hour interactive talk with a focus how to help gear students toward modern-day jobs.
