There were a number of arrests along the Ocean City boardwalk over the weekend.
WBOC reports that authorities say the first incident occurred at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday around 7th Street where a large crowd turned hostile toward law enforcement.
Authorities say there were nine arrests.
It took officers from the Maryland State Police and deputies from Worcester County Sheriff’s Office before the crowd was broken up.
This was followed by another crowd that gathered around 10th Street.
When officers responded WBOC reports that law enforcement said the crowd went into a nearby bar and began throwing bottle.
Several arrests were made.
A third incident occurred on Saturday night at around 9:45 p.m. in the 1st Street area where a large crowd gathered after police tried to arrest a man who allegedly assaulted an officer after being confronted with kicking a trashcan into the middle of the boardwalk.
A total of five arrests were made.
