Krispy Kreme: A First For Doughut Lovers in Delaware

Krispy Kreme Website

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware's only Krispy Kreme doughnut shop is less than a month away from opening.

The News Journal of Wilmington reports that doughnut-making equipment arrived Tuesday at the store, which will open on July 1.

The first 100 customers to line up that day for the 6 a.m. opening will receive free doughnuts. Brian Zaslow, president and managing director of Krispy Kreme's regional franchise, says people tend to camp out to get a spot in line.

The store is taking job applications and will hire between 60 and 80 people.

Known for its warm, glazed doughnuts, Krispy Kreme has 163 franchise stores in the United States.
