This past Saturday was a milestone for The Kathryn, the Skipjack that nearly sank four years ago. It's owner Stoney Whitelock finally got it into the water checking to make sure it was water tight. Whitelock says he expects her to be ready for the Skipjack Races next month off Deal Island. Delmarva Public Radio's Don Rush caught up with Whitelock as many in the community celebrated this moment.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
