DOVER, Del. (AP) - A New York judge says it's time for the "saga to end" for TransPerfect Global, a translation services company subject to a sale ordered by a Delaware judge.
A Delaware Chancery Court judge ordered the sale of TransPerfect in 2015, citing "complete dysfunction" and hopeless deadlock between feuding co-founders and sole directors Philip Shawe and Elizabeth Elting, his former fiancee.
The Delaware Supreme Court upheld that decision earlier this year, as well as an order directing Shawe to pay Elting $7.1 million in sanctions for his "deplorable behavior" in the lawsuit.
Shawe has nevertheless continued the fight, but a New York Supreme Court judge late last month dismissed three related complaints in which he challenged his losses in Delaware, saying they were replete with revisionist history bordering on "downright frivolity."
