I-295 Construction Expected to Create Traffic Congestion

creative commons

Traffic congestion is on its way for some Delaware drivers.

The Delaware River and Bay Authority said that starting next year in February a $33.7 million construction project will get under way on the I-95 sound lanes of the I-295.

That’s mostly between U.S. Route 13 and I-95.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that the thoroughfare is a major link between New York and Washington D.C.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.

On Thanksgiving around 73-thousand vehicles used those lanes.
