It’s getting hot out there.

Temperatures are expected to hit above 90 degrees over the next few days.

Today Salisbury has hit a record high of 98 degrees.

The Salisbury Daily Times notes that the record high for Wednesday was set in 1925 at 96 and for Thursday in 1908 at 99.

The average this time of year is in the upper 80’s.

So far, no warnings have been issued.

But, this weekend should be much cooler according to meteorologists.

The high on Friday could reach 90 and then is expected to dip down on Saturday and Sunday into the upper 80’s.
