Representative Gerald Brady (D-Wilmington)

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Two state lawmakers are hosting a hearing this week related to problems uncovered recently at a Planned Parenthood clinic that performs abortions in Wilmington.

Republican Senate Minority Leader Greg Lavelle and Democratic state Rep. Gerald Brady will hold the hearing Tuesday at the Chase Center on the Riverfront.

Organizers say a former manager at the clinic will discuss how she believes Planned Parenthood's CEO misled the public in a June editorial and a former clinic nurse will discuss a report released by the state and explain the need for further action.

In May, state officials filed a complaint in May against a doctor who worked at the clinic, saying he was a danger to the public, and public health officials released an April letter to Planned Parenthood detailing several violations at the clinic.
