A number of people were injured this morning in a head-on collision in Denton.
The police say the accident occurred around 2 a.m. on route 404 and Anderson Road.
WBOC reports that troopers say the driver and three passengers were seriously injured along with the driver of the other vehicle and taken to nearby hospitals.
The road had been closed in both directions so that work crews cleared debris from the highway.
No identities have been released and the cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
