The Governor's Race of Complaints

campaign website

The race for governor in Maryland is turning into an exchange of complaints.

The most recent has been filed by Republican Larry Hogan whose campaign charges that his Democratic rival’s campaign has coordinated with a political action committee called “One State…One Future”.

These political action committees can raise money but are prohibited from coordinating fundraising activities and strategies.

Officials from “Friends of Anthony Brown” campaign issued a statement to WMDT charging that Hogan’s campaign was making false accusations.

Meanwhile, the television station got a list of complaints by Brown’s campaign including a poll conducted by Hogan’s watchdog group that was not listed as an asset by his campaign.

A Hogan campaign spokesman said the campaign had done nothing wrong as far as it knew.
