HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - Gov. Larry Hogan is starting a three-day swing through western Maryland a few weeks before Election Day.
His schedule includes breakfast Thursday in Hagerstown with Republican congressional candidate Amie (AH'-mee) Hoeber, followed by a cabinet meeting at the downtown Maryland Theatre.
Hoeber's bid to unseat Rep. John Delaney is considered the most competitive House race among Maryland's eight congressional districts.
The Republican governor also will visit an elementary school and speak at a cemetery sesquicentennial event Thursday in Hagerstown.
Hogan is scheduled to speak Friday morning at an information technology conference near Cumberland. On Friday afternoon, he'll discuss funding for heroin prevention and enforcement at the Allegany County Sheriff's Office.
On Saturday, Hogan is set to serve as grand marshal of the Autumn Glory Festival parade in downtown Oakland.
