DOVER, Del. (AP) - Gov. Jack Markell is heading to Washington to meet with other state and local Democratic leaders.
Markell was scheduled to deliver opening remarks to a group called NewDEAL, speaking at the first two sessions of the group's annual conference Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.
Markell is an honorary co-chair of the organization, which highlights pro-growth progressive leaders with innovative ideas for broad and sustainable economic growth.
Since its launch in 2011, the NewDEAL network has grown from 10 leaders to more than 150 state and local officials.
