GOP Candidate Challenged Over Ties to Grassroots Group in MD Governor's Race

Maryland Change Website

Discord has hit the Republican campaign trail for governor.

Delegate Ron George and Harford County Executive David Craig filed a formal complaint that the rival Larry Hogan has been improperly coordinating his campaign with a group called Change Maryland.

They told the elections board that they believed contribution from the group have improperly benefited Hogan’s campaign.

But Hogan’s campaign fired back calling the allegations “utterly absurd and patently false.”

His campaign said they checked with the elections board before Hogan announced and that it bought certain assets from the group such as mailing and contact lists as it would from any other organization.
