Former MD GOP Governor Makes Political Stops in New Hampshire

WASHINGTON (AP) - Former Maryland governor Robert Ehrlich Jr. is scheduled to be at events in New Hampshire this month.

An online invitation shows Ehrlich is booked as the keynote speaker at an event Sept. 12 in Nashua, New Hampshire. The event is being hosted by the Nashua Area Republican City Committee. The Washington Post reports he is also expected to attend the New Hampshire Young Republicans Lobster Bake and Straw Poll in Laconia on Sept. 13.

Maryland's current governor, Democrat Martin O'Malley, defeated the Republican Ehrlich in 2006 after Ehrlich served one term in the heavily Democratic state. Ehrlich ran against O'Malley again in 2010 but lost.

O'Malley will also visit New Hampshire, the first-in-the-nation presidential primary state, in September. It will be his third trip to the state this year.
