USDA

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Federal officials say Delaware's former agriculture secretary is leading a government trade mission to Southeast Asia.

Michael Scuse now serves as undersecretary for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He will lead representatives from six state ag departments, as well as 21 agribusinesses and organizations, on the trade mission next week.

The delegation will travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Manila, Philippines. It will also meet with potential customers from Burma and Thailand while in Kuala Lumpur.

Delegation members include representatives from agriculture departments in Idaho, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Texas and Virginia.
