Football Season Begins Under the Shadow of Domestic Violence

NFL logo

This week the NFL officially begins the football season. But, the issue of domestic violence by its players may not go away anytime soon. Just after the two game suspension of Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens, the commissioner announced a tougher six game suspension for the first a offense and banishment for the second. And, now a second player from the 49ers is looking at allegations. Delmarva Public Radio's Don Rush talked with East Coast sports writer and commentator Mike Lurie on the implications of the domestic violence in the League.
