White Marlin Open website

Angler Mike Donohue caught an 86-pound white marlin yesterday coming in first at the annual Ocean City tournament this year.

WBOC reports that in second place is Michael Logan at 76 pounds.

For a white marlin to qualify it must be at least 67 inches long and weight 70 pounds.

First prize for the white marlin winner is $2.6 million with second place taking in $120-thouand.

The 44th Annual White Marlin Open got off to a slow start this year with the storm that kept many boats dockside on Monday.

The tournament runs through Friday with weigh-ins at 4 p.m.
