First Fish on Leaderboard in White Marlin Open

White Marlin Open website

It’s been three days.

But the first white marlin has made it onto the leaderboard of the White Marlin Open in Ocean City.

The 94 pound fish caught by Cheryl McLeskey is the third biggest in the tournament’s history.

There were 238 boats out in the ocean.

That’s five more than last year.

WBOC reports that the scales will close at 9:15 p.m. Friday night.

The anglers are restricted to fishing three out of the five days of the tournament.
