Firefly Music Festival Returns to Dover Next Year

The Firefly Music Festival will be returning to Dover next summer.

Organizers of the event that wrapped up this past weekend made the announcement yesterday.

Greg Bostrom, the festival’s director with the Chicago-based Red Frog Events, said, “We’ve found our home.”

The exact date has not been announced.

A limited number of advanced sales for general admission tickets will be available beginning today.

Dover was chosen from over 60 sites.

The Wilmington News Journal reports that Kent County was selected because of the venue’s 87-acre space and staff as well as its proximity to large East Coast cities.

Don Rush is the News Director and Senior Producer of News and Public Affairs at Delmarva Public Media. An award-winning journalist, Don reports major local issues of the day, from sea level rise, to urban development, to the changing demographics of Delmarva.
