SALISBURY, Md. (AP) - State fire investigators say a blaze has destroyed a motor vehicle repair facility in Salisbury.

Flames shot high into the air and smoke could be seen for miles as the fire burned at the building occupied by D&D Repairs on Thursday evening.

Salisbury Fire Chief Rick Hoppes says the owner was working inside when the fire broke out, but was able to escape. Firefighters were unable to enter the building because the roof collapsed.

The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal says it took 75 firefighters more than two hours to control the blaze. No injuries were reported, but damage is estimated at $750,000.
