Fast Food is Big for Delaware State Workers

creative commons

Fast Food is in for Delaware state workers.

The Wilmington News Journal found that an analysis of food purchases during the 2014 fiscal year revealed that state workers spent $195-thousand on fast food.

That the paper says comes out to $543 a day including weekends.

It reports that a favorite spot is Capriotti’s with a location near Dover which saw $92-hundred spent by state workers.

But a big winner was Chick-fil-A where state employees charged just over $13-thousand at the north Dover location alone in 2014.

McDonalds was also a hot spot with over $11-thousand spent in more than ten restaurants.

Much of the analysis, the paper says, comes from procurement-card charges at restaurants that indicate they are fast food types.
