Famed Ocean City Bartender is Mourned

123rf

Ocean City is mourning the loss of 50 year-old Patrick McCusker.

He was a longtime resort bartender known to his friends as “Scunny”.

In north Ocean City the marquee of the Greene Turtle reads, ”Scunny, OC will always remember you.”

The Salisbury Daily Times reports that McCusker was hit by a bus while riding his bicycle on 132nd Street and died Friday.

The bus driver has not been disciplined or charged.

The investigation is still underway.

Greene Turtle owner and founder Steve Pappas told the paper that his death came as a shock and said he was devastated to hear the news.

McCusker is remembered for his charisma, generosity, philanthropy and was known as a bit of a prankster.
